The focus of this seminar is the landscape of women composers today. We will also discuss the future and what obstacles and/or opportunities there are. How has the landscape changed? What can we do today? What are the experiences of composing women?

In the past it was almost impossible for female composers to be recognised. They were underappreciated and didn’t have the same opportunities as their male counterparts, but of course this is now changing. And we want to be a part of the change. In our project, “Insight” we give female composers a voice
